We started with a simple question: How can we create a space where neurodivergent teens and young adults can find their true selves?

While supporting autistic teens and young adults in Adelaide, we noticed something missing. There were groups available, but many were designed for people who needed significant support. Those who simply struggled to find their place socially often had nowhere to belong.

So, we started our own groups.
​
Then we realised this wasn't just an autism problem. There are plenty of people who don't fit the usual mould.

That's why we created The Empower Crew.
​
We believe that belonging comes before confidence. When you find your people, everything else becomes a little easier. And that's exactly what we're here to help you do.
The Heart Behind the Crew
I never set out to build a disability service.

What I wanted was simple: to help young people feel like they belonged.
Over the years, I've worked alongside autistic teens and young adults who were bright, funny, creative, and capable, but often struggled to find a place where they felt accepted. I saw firsthand how much confidence can grow when someone finds people who genuinely understand them.
